Turkey Burgers

Everyone loves burger night 🍔 (+ BONUS when it’s good for you)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Turkey is a great source of tryptophan, the amino acid essential for serotonin production. So literally eat yourself happy with these delicious Turkey burgers ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀



⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Ingredients ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

* 500g lean ground turkey⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

* 1/2 tsp garlic, finely chopped ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

* 2 tbsp tomato sauce⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

* 1 tbsp Dijon mustard⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

* 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

* 1 tsp salt⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

* 1/2 tsp pepper⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

* 1/3 cup bread crumbs⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

* 1 egg⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

* 4 burger buns⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

* 4 leaves of baby cos lettuce ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

* 1 large tomato, finely sliced ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

* 4 slices of pineapple⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

* 1/2 red onion, sliced⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

* 1 avocado, sliced⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Method⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

In a large bowl, add turkey, garlic, tomato sauce, Djion mustard, Worcestershire, salt and pepper, bread crumbs and egg. Combine well. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Divide mixture into four serves and shape into patties. Heat a large frying pan with a drizzle of oil and cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Meanwhile prepare burger buns with lettuce, tomato, pineapple, red onion and avocado. Add burger patties and enjoy!⠀
