Bone Broth
One of the best things about winter 🍜 There are soooo many amazing qualities to bone broth so if you weren’t already convinced to cook up a batch, this will get you running to the kitchen.

Ingredients
👉🏼 Approx 2kg of bones (grass fed beef marrow, lamb bones left over or chicken carcass)
👉🏼 3-4 litres water
👉🏼 1/2 cup Apple cider vinegar
👉🏼 2 onions coarsely chopped
👉🏼 3 carrots coarsely chopped
👉🏼 1 parsnip coarsely chopped
👉🏼 4 celery stalks coarsely chopped
👉🏼 2 leeks coarsely chopped
👉🏼 3 garlic cloves
👉🏼 Small handful of fresh thyme 👉🏼 2 bay leaves
👉🏼 Salt and pepper to taste ...
Method
1️⃣ Place bones in large pot and cover with water and vinegar. Let stand for 1 hour
2️⃣ Add all other ingredients to the pot and bring the boil
3️⃣ Reduce heat and simmer for approx 8-12 hours. Strain into a large bowl. (If you have a slow cooker, leave on low cooking all day).
4️⃣ Cool and throw away chunks of fat. Then freeze in portions or store in fridge for up to 4 days.
